Getting Your Bearings

The docks sit in a quiet, self-contained waterside pocket of London, right between the City and Tower Bridge. It's a rare combination — genuine peace and quiet, with some of London's most famous landmarks just minutes away on foot.

Walk the Marina

Spend some time strolling around all three basins — it's a fully pedestrian, wheelchair and pram-friendly area with footbridges offering lovely vantage points over the boats. Keep an eye out for the historic vessels moored here, and if you're visiting in September, look out for the Classic Boat Festival, held as part of the wider Totally Thames Festival.

• Dickens Inn, a timber-framed 18th-century pub right on the docks, is a lovely spot for a pint with flower-filled balconies overlooking the marina

Getting Around

Tower Hill station (Circle and District lines) is about five minutes' walk away, and Tower Gateway DLR is also close by, giving you fast access to the City, Canary Wharf, and the rest of London. Eurostar arrivals at King's Cross St Pancras can take the Circle line direct to Tower Hill, around 20–25 minutes.
